The Community Foundation of Central Electric Cooperative board recently approved a $5,000 grant to the Stillwater Community Foundation to fund the construction of the Stillwater Strong Memorial, in remembrance of the homecoming tragedy in Stillwater in 2015.
The SCF plans to raise $130,000 for the Stillwater Strong Memorial, to be located on a piece of city-owned property directly across the street north of the crash site. The memorial will be dedicated in memory and in honor of the victims and the first responders who aided in the Oklahoma State University Homecoming tragedy on Oct. 24, 2015. The goal is to complete the memorial by the 2018 OSU Homecoming celebration this fall. If you would like to donate, visit cfok.org/Stillwater.
The SCF is dedicated to helping citizens achieve their dreams for the city. Working with the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma, the foundation build endowments, offers donor-advised funds and supports special projects. For more information about SCF, click here.
