In an effort to fulfill the mission of the cooperative approach, democracy in action, the board of trustees of Central Rural Electric Cooperative review current state and federal laws, CREC policies and procedures and CREC bylaws to ensure that your cooperative provides safe and quality service to its member-owners in a cost effective manner. The CREC board of trustees seeks to accomplish this goal, while complying with applicable authorities. In keeping with the cooperative principles, the Board of Trustees suggests the following bylaw changes for the reasons stated below. If you would like a printed copy of the CREC bylaws, you can pick one up at CREC's main office in Stillwater, your district's meeting, or contact the CREC office and we will mail you a copy.

  

STILLWATER, OKLA. – The effects of the recent ice storm are still being felt by residents across our state. Although Central Rural Electric Cooperative did not have much system damage as a result of the declared emergency disaster, many cooperatives across the state were not as fortunate, and crews from CREC have been sent to help others.
